PLACE OF SKULLS Announce New Bassist
July 14, 2003Knoxville, Tennessee's PLACE OF SKULLS, who feature in their ranks former SPIRIT CARAVAN/ST. VITUS/THE OBSESSED guitarist/vocalist Wino, have announced the addition of bassist Dennis Cornelius to the group's ranks.
"We've just finished a 2-day audition/rehearsal and to simply say it was heavy would be an understatement," reads a posting on the band's official web site. "Dennis, formerly of OVERSOUL & REVELATION (which will remain an ongoing recording project) brings in a clear understanding of our musical style and a wealth of song writing ideas. He's made the commitment of relocating his wife & family to Knoxville. We offer them our complete support and encouragement and ask that personal friends and fans do the same. Thanks!
"Once we resume regular rehearsals in a few weeks...live shows & tour plans for 'With Vision' will soon follow."
As previously reported, PLACE OF SKULLS will release their new album, "With Vision", to Sept. 8 in Europe and Sept. 23 in the U.S. through Southern Lord Recordings. The opening track, "Last Hit", is available for download at this location. Other songs set to appear on "With Vision" include "The Watchers", "Silver Cord Breaks", "Dimensional Sojourn", "The Monster", and "Willfully Blind".
